Introduction To The Town Walk

In December 1993 the first in a series of leaflets of "Town Walks In Erewash" was published by Erewash Groundwork Trust in conjunction with the Ilkeston and District Local History Society, Erewash Borough Council and Barclays Bank. I already had in my possesion an earlier leaflet by the Local History Society and have since acquired many more leaflets and snippets of information.
This page is the first of series following the route as detailed in the Ilkeston Town Walk and drawing on information from many sources. I hope you will enjoy it. Let the walk commence ....
